13 Jun Is a real increase to the minimum wage possible?

The minimum wage is a right and its current amount is an open violation of the Constitution. Here we respond to questions and frequent doubts. 1. Why is it important to increase the SM?
The SM is a right and its current amount is an open violation of the Constitution. The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) has issued a very clear position in this regard (link is external). The CNDH expresses that the authorities must consider the human rights norms in force in our country when setting the SM.
The SM in Mexico is outside any international parameter in the matter. Although productivity has grown little, the SM has remained stable in value. It is the lowest in the OECD and in Latin America. Currently it is lower than the Central American SM, whose economies are smaller than the Mexican one. This is unacceptable.
